Sourdough Doughnuts

Ingredients

  • 3 c bread flour
  • 1 c sourdough starter
  • 3/4 c lukewarm milk
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • A generous pinch salt
  • 90 g margarine melt

Instructions

  • Mix everything with a wooden spoon, let rest for half hour
  • Knead for 15 minutes
  • Wrap with cling wrap, let stand overnight, room temperature
  • The next morning slowly scrape dough onto a working surface
  • With your hands, spread out dough
  • Cut with round cutter
  • Cling wrapped and let stand for 2 H
  • Preheat oven 390 F convection oven
  • Wrap donut with aluminum foil, bake 20 mins
  • Take off foil, bake for another 5 mins

You can spread top with melted butter and sprinkle or spread or even fill the doughnut with:

Icing sugar
Nutella
Sprinkles
