Savory Cookies
Indonesian Kastengel or Hungarian Sos Rud

Ingredients
- 4 c AP flour
- at least 2 tsp coarse Kosher salt best is 2 tbsp tho!
- 1 c golden shortening
- 1-2 tbsp butter
- 2 beaten eggs
- 6-10 tbsp cold water
Topping
- Egg yolk
- Sesame seeds
- Caraway seeds
- Grated cheese
Instructions
- Mix everything, knead
- Chill 30 mins
- Roll flat, cut into (long or short - finger length would be perfect) sticks
- Brush with yolk, top with your favorite cheese or seeds
- Preheat oven 350 F, bake 20-30 mins
- Cool on rack
