Hungarian Rolled Crepes

Ingredients

  • 4 c strong baker’s flour
  • A generous pinch of salt
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • 6 eggs
  • 1 tbsp vanilla essence
  • 6 tbsp peanut oil
  • 5-6 c hot boiling water
  • Unsalted butter as needed
  • Ovaltine powder
  • Jam of your choice
  • Peanut butter of your choice we used PB2, crunchy, and smooth peanut butters

Instructions

  • In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt.
  • In a food processor, combine eggs, milk, and essence. Pour mixture into flour mixture, stir.
  • Add in peanut oil and 1 c of hot boiling water at a time, until completely combined.
  • Strain mixture and discard lumps
  • Cover and let rest for an H
  • Preheat pan on high heat, brush pan with unsalted butter, then lower heat to medium
  • Pour a ladle of batter, tilt pan to spread the batter, creating a crepe/thin pancake, cook for 2-3 minutes
  • Place crepe on a plate, repeat steps
  • Fill crepes with whatever you wish, jam, Ovaltine, etc, roll and serve
