Oseng-Oseng Pare

Ingredients

  • 2 large and long bittergourd
  • Enough salt
  • 1 onion
  • 4 garlic
  • 6 bird eye chilies
  • 2 tbsp peanut oil
  • 1 bag of cooked shrimps frozen
  • Season with Vegeta powder or Royco

Instructions

  • Halve bittergourd remove seeds, then slice thinly. Place into a large bowl. Sprinkle with generous salt, rub and squeeze until bittergourd produces liquid. Set to side for 30 minutes
  • Meanwhile, slice garlic onion and chilies
  • 30 mins up, rinse bittergourd
  • Heat oil and saute onion, garlic, and chilies slices until softened and fragrant
  • Stir in rinsed bittergourd, stir fry for 2 mins
  • Stir in shrimps and season with Vegeta powder, cook until shrimps soften
  • Serve warm as is or to accompany warm rice
