Basil Beef Stir Fry with Green Beans

Ingredients

  • 500 g lean ground beef
  • 1 tbsp unsalted butter
  • 1 large green beans
  • 1 box basil
  • 8 garlic
  • 2 red bird eye chilies
  • 1 box medium-firm tofu
  • Sesame oil to taste
  • White pepper powder to taste
  • Chicken bouillon powder to taste

Instructions

  • Slice green beans and soak in water
  • Drain and cube tofu
  • Brown beef in a non stick pan
  • Meanwhile, dice garlic, slice chilies and slice rinsed basil leaves (discard the stems), set aside
  • Once beef is ready, stir in butter, followed with garlic, basil leaves, and chilies, cook until fragrant a minute or two
  • Add in green beans, stir
  • Cover with lid and cook until somewhat tender (5-8 mins), on low-med heat
  • Take off lid, add in tofu, stir
  • Season dish, cook for another minute or two
  • Serve immediately with warm rice
