Mezeskalacs

Hungarian gingerbread cookies

Ingredients

  • 300 g strong bakers flour
  • 100 g icing sugar
  • 100 ml honey
  • 100 g unsalted butter
  • 1 egg
  • 1 tsp BSoda
  • 1 heaping tbsp mezeskalacs spices using instant spices, ready to use, easily found at any Hungarian stores – in Hungary 😛 hahaha

Instructions

  • Mix everything until it forms a nice dough, chill for 10 minutes
  • Roll flat and cut with cookie cutters
  • Place cookies on parchment lined baking pan
  • Bake on preheated 350 F for 10-12 mins
