Matpe Beans Patties

Ingredients

  • 1/3 c x 7 super soft cooked huskless split black matpe Beans mashed potatoes consistency
  • A couple drop of liquid smoke oil
  • 2 tbsp Montreal chicken seasoning
  • 10-12 tbsp seasoned breadcrumbs non seasoned is fine
  • Corn oil for frying not too much, don't want the patties to become soggy
  • 4 tbsp additional breadcrumbs

Instructions

  • Mix beans, breadcrumbs, seasoning, liquid smoke. Shape into patties. Roll on additional breadcrumbs
  • Fry on hot oil on medium heat until golden brown
  • Serve as is with ketchup/Sriracha, or on a bed of salad, or as 'burger'

Notes

Please note the patties are not firm like bean/veggie burgers, as normally we eat them on salad. Today I felt like serving them on buns lol
