Drop Doughnuts

Ingredients

  • 1/2 tsp sugar
  • 1 scant tsp instant dry yeast
  • 150 ml lukewarm milk
  • 200 g flour
  • 1/4 c sugar
  • 3 generous pinches cinnamon powder

Instructions

  • Mix sugar and yeast into milk, let stand until bubbly
  • Pour yeast into flour
  • Stir with wooden spoon, cover with cling wrap, let rest until doubled in size
  • Heat enough cooking oil on medium heat
  • Shape dough into balls or flatten bits
  • Fry til golden brown
  • Coat fried doughnut with cinnamon sugar as soon as they are out of the oil
  • Serve immediately
