Ingredients
Crust

of flour
a pinch of salt

sugar

chilled margarine or butter or vegetable shortening

ice water
super cold water
Filling

kg
dark sweet cherries
pitted
1/2
c
sugar
1
pouch orange sugar
by Dr. Oetker, if you cannot find it, omit is fine, am just using up stock in my kitchen :)

Instructions
Crust
Mix everything and knead. Chill in the fridge for 20 minutes then divide into 2 portions.
Roll flat 1 dough and place it on prepared pie pan
Filling
Mix everything
Pie
Spoon filling into prepared pie pan
Roll flat the other dough and cover filling
Cut some holes for steam to come out during baking
Brush with beaten egg yolk
Bake on preheated 350 F until crust is golden brown and filling is bubbly
