Bakpao Pandan Cokelat

Ingredients

Yeast Solution

  • 100 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 tbsp sugar
  • 1 1/3 tsp active dry yeast

Dough

  • 300 g flour
  • A pinch of salt
  • 1/2 tbsp sugar
  • 50 g unsalted butter
  • 50 ml lukewarm water
  • 1 tsp Pandan paste

Filling

  • Chocolate bars of your choice

Instructions

  • Stir sugar in lukewarm water, then stir in yeast. Let stand for 5 mins.
  • In a cup, mix lukewarm water with pandan paste, set aside.
  • In a bowl, mix dry ingredients, make a well in center, then pour in yeasty water, stir with spatula.
  • Knead in butter, then pour in pandan water, knead until dough formed nicely.
  • Cover with cling wrap, rest for 30-60 mins.
  • Divide dough into 50 g portions. Flatten each and place a chocolate bar in center, seam to seal.
  • Rest dough buns for 10 mins, then steam buns in preheated steamer, for 10-15 mins.
  • Enjoy while warm is heaven on earth, but do watch out for melted chocolate, is pretty hot 😊
