Ayam Bakar

Sriracha Grilled Chicken

Ingredients

  • 1 whole chicken
  • 2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
  • 1 tbsp garlic powder
  • 1 tbsp onion powder
  • 2 tbsp dark brown sugar
  • 1 tsp sweet paprika powder
  • 1/2 tsp ground finger
  • 1/4 tsp turmeric powder
  • 1/4 tsp cayenne powder
  • 1 tsp ground cumin
  • 2 tbsp lime juice
  • At least 1/2 tbsp Sriracha sauce
  • 1/2 tbsp sesame oil
  • 1 tsp hoisin sauce
  • 2 tbsp Oyster sauce
  • 2 heaping tbsp 1/4 c sunflower oil
  • 4 tbsp of water

Instructions

  • Cut through the center of the chicken, creating a butterfly shape, place in a large bowl
  • Add in seasonings, coat well. Marinade for at least 30 mins. The longer the better.
  • Lay a thicker aluminum foil, wrap the chicken, then bbq until cooked through.
  • Take out chicken from the aluminum foil, and grill directly on the BBQ for a little browning, if you like
