Angry Bird on A Sling Shot
Cranberry Cake with White Ganache
Servings 0
- 1 2/3 cups flour
- 1 cup sugar
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp baking soda
- 1 cup water
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 1 tsp vanilla or almond flavoring
- 6 T oil
- 1/2 cup yogurt or sour cream or buttermilk
- a generous handful dried sweet and tart cranberries chopped
Ganache
- 100 ml 35% heavy cream
- 210 g white chocolate chocolate chips is fine
Mix dry ingredients and make a well in the center
Mix wet ingredients and pour into center
Combine mixture and stir in dried cranberries
Pour mixture on half sphere pan (half round ball pan, such as Wilton)
Bake on preheated 350 F for half hour or until knife inserted in center comes out clean
Flip pan and cool cake on rack completely
Coat cake with ganache and decorate as you wish (for Angry Bird style, check the blog above!
Ganche
Heat heavy cream in microwave and stir in chopped chocolate/chocolate chips until melted
Cool to room temperature, stirring occasionally, until desired thickness/spreadable
