Ingredients

  • 8 apples skinned, cored, grated
  • 1/2 c sugar
  • 1/4 tsp each cinnamon powder nutmeg powder
  • 1 tbsp lemon juice
  • 3 c flour
  • 6 tbsp sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 100 ml nut milk lukewarm
  • 1/2 tbsp each active dry yeast sugar
  • 3 tbsp flaxmeal
  • 6 tbsp water
  • 200 g vegan margarine
  • 1/4 additional flour
  • Enough coconut palm/brown sugar

Instructions

  • Mix grated apples with sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and lemon juice, set aside
  • Mix flour, sugar, salt, set aside
  • Mix milk, sugar, yeast, let bloom 5 mins
  • Mix flaxmeal, water, set aside 5 mins
  • Pour yeast and flax into flour mixture, knead. Add in margarine, knead in flour
  • Divide dough into two, rolp flat each
  • Place one on tray as bottom crust, spread apple (leave juice out), top with the other crust
  • Poke holes all over
  • Dissolve brown sugar in leftover juice and brush all over pie
  • Bae at preheated 350 F convection oven for 15-18 mins
