My 1st soto ayam away from home 😀 Not bad if I may say so myself. At least the Hungarian at home did not complain whatsoever as he does not know any better hahahah 😀
Joking aside, this is delish.
Back home I would make it from scratch (most of the time my oldest sister though, am a lazy sister hahaha), but the following is using instant spices 😛
2 green onion, slice
bean sprouts
rice vermicelli
3 hard boiled eggs, peeled and slice
2 chicken breast, boneless and skinless
1-2 tsp of garlic salt
salt, sugar, and MSG (if desired), to taste
1 stick of lemon grass
1 package of Indofood Soto Ayam instant ingredients (with 3 cups of water instead 2)
1 medium lime, slice
1 cup shredded cabbage
fried onion
Sambal: chilli, boiled, and blender, add a dash of salt
1 cup boiled potatoes
Boil the chicken to produce broth, cooked, take out from the soup, set aside
Add in the instant ingredients into the soup
Add lemon grass, already tied in knot, celery salt, salt, sugar, MSG
In a separate pan, cook the rice vermicelli as instructed on the package
Meanwhile, boil eggs, peeled, slice, set aside
