Another smoggy day we are having here, but also, we are back to heat warning again, although it doesn’t seem to be as severe as the previous week. Crossing fingers ???
I made fried rice for the boys. They like all sorts of fried rice. Too bad our electric stove is not one with flame, so I can never achieve that smoky flavor a restaurant would have. But…good enough ?
Fried rice is so simple to make, you know. Add whatever you like, adjust flavor to your liking, and enjoy ? So simple, seriously.
1/4 c unsalted butter
5 garlic, slice
1/3 c sliced onion
1/3 c sliced cabbage
1/2 c mixed veggies
1 egg
1 1/2 c diced/cubed roasted duck (flavor of your choice)
Cooked rice (enough to make 3-4 serving)
Vegeta powder to taste
Ground white pepper to taste

Duck Fried Rice (Nasi Goreng Bebek)
Ingredients
- 1/4 c unsalted butter
- 5 garlic slice
- 1/3 c sliced onion
- 1/3 c sliced cabbage
- 1/2 c mixed veggies
- 1 egg
- 1 1/2 c diced/cubed roasted duck flavor of your choice
- Cooked rice enough to make 3-4 serving
- Vegeta powder to taste
- Ground white pepper to taste
Instructions
- Melt butter, saute onion and garlic, until fragrant
- Stir in cabbage and veggies
- Scramble an egg
- Add in roasted duck, stir
- Add in water, stir
- Season, and stir nicely
- Cook for another 5-8 mins
- Serve immediately
