This soup is great as is but SUPER great with toast or garlic bread 😀
1/2 cup milk
crispy turkey bacon (optional)
grated cheese as needed
1/2 small onion, chopped
Hungarian Vito seasoning
1 heaping tsp ground black pepper
garlic salt
green onion, thinly sliced
3 large potatoes, peeled, boil/steam/bake
1 handful all purpose flour
2-3 tbsps margarine
1 1/4 cup water (or as needed)
Hungarian paprika
Method
Mash cooked potatoes, no lumps!, set aside
Make roux by heating margarine in medium heat, saute onion until translucent, then add in all purpose flour, mix well, do not get burnt, pour in milk, stir well.
Add in mashed potatoes, stir well, then add in water as needed to make the consistent of soup as desire.
Add in seasoning, pepper, and garlic salt, stir well.
Serve warm with shredded cheese, green onion, paprika, and turkey bacon
