I never thought of making pizza with seafood before but when we were in Europe, we had this friend and she liked making tuna pizza and it was pretty good, so once awhile now I prepare pizza with tuna (not yet shrimps though LOL)
Crust
- 1 scant tbsp of dry yeast
- 1 cup luke warm water
- 3 1/4 cups all purpose flour
- 3 tablespoons of vegetable oil
- 2 teaspoons of salt
Method
- In a bowl, combine the dry ingredients (flour and salt), and mix thoroughly.
- In another stainless steel bowl, combine the water and yeast, using spatula, then the oil, mix well. Let rest for 5 minutes.
- Pour the water into the center of the flour, and with a spatula, stir to combine well into a sticky mass.
- Pour this mass out onto a lightly floured surface and begin to knead the dough until dough is free of stickiness.
- Brush another stainless steel bawl with oil. Place the ball of dough in it. Cover with a clean cloth and let rise at room temperature until it has doubled in size.
- When it has risen in the size, punch down the dough, and divided into two balls. Roll each ball onto the floured surface, then top it with any kinds of topping you like.
Topping
- 1-2 fat free mozzarella cheese slices, sliced
- 1 medium onion, sliced and chopped
- dash of pepper and salt
- 2 cans of tuna, drain
- 4 tbsp of fat free mayonnaise
Method
- Combine all ingredients, mix well
- Pour evenly on top of the pizza crust, leaving 1 cm of each sides of the crust
- Top the tuna topping with sliced cheese slices
- Bake for 30 minutes or so, or until crust golden brown, crispy, and cooked.
