🍉🍉Happy International Watermelon Day!🍉🍉
Bolu kukus is almost like a staple when it comes to sweet snacking time. They would bloom like pretty flowers when they are made perfectly. Unfortunately, since living veganish, it’s a bit hard to achieve. Sometimes they would bloom for me regardless eggless, butterless, sometimes they just don’t. Like the following bolu kukus. Before, I could make them truly shown like flowers, of course with eggs and whatnot, but for this time, altho the flavor is still there, it’s just not the same look, sadly hahaha
250 g flour
125 g sugar
A pinch of sat
1 tsp each BP and Bsoda
150-180 ml full fat coconut milk (or other df free)
80 l vegetable oil
Flavoring of your choice
Dark chocolate sprinkles and chia seeds
Mix dry ingredients
Mix flavoring into milk
Pour milk alternating with oil, a little at a time, into flour mixture, mix to combine
Divide batter into 3 bowls, stir in vegan red and green food coloring into the first two bowls, let the third as is (red batter should be plenty compares to the green and white batter)
Preheat steamer
Pour red batter into cupcake liner, add sprinkle
Top with a little white batter followed with green
Steam for 20 mins
