We didn’t have power for 8 H today, so I spent it better by not being online ๐คฃ I mean, not using my phone ๐ I unboxed lotsa things from downstairs (basement) level. For the past 4 years, I haven’t unbox most of the things downstairs ever since we moved in. There was just no time. We have 2 large rooms with a full bathroom, that were full with boxes up to the ceiling ๐ 5 mo ago we finally emptied one room and turned it into my library. Got a day bed, a TV, a nice lampion, and a plant rack that holds 8 pots, it’s pretty now. It can be a guestroom too ๐
Now moving forward to 2 weeks ago when I learned I will be heading for a major surgery soon, that after I won’t be able to do much, we asked my husband’s mother to come to help, mostly for the boys, like once awhile cook for them, so my husband doesn’t turn them into daily pizza or hotdog monsters ๐ She said yes, so now we are cleaning up downstairs even more, because it will be her living quarter. So yep, been busy unboxing, sorting, donating ๐ With no power on today, I unboxed more than 12 of them. Nice ๐

I have Langos recipe to share ๐
180 ml lukewarm water
1 tsp sugar
1 tsp active dry yeast
250 g flour
1 tsp of salt
1 tsp of sugar
26 g unsalted butter
Vegetable oil for frying
Garlic oil for brushing
Salt for sprinkling
Sour cream for brushing
Grated cheese for sprinkling
In a bowl, stir sugar into lukewarm water, then stir in yeast, let stand 5-10 mins
In a larger bowl, mix flour, sugar and salt, then pour in yeast, knead
Knead in butter then let rest covered for 20-30 mins
Preheat oil to fry
Divide dough into 2 large langos or 4-6 smaller size langos
Fry til browning, flipping once.
Brush langos with garlic oil, sprinkle with salt, serve. You can also brush with garlic oil, spread sour cream, and top with grated cheese, and serve ๐
