It’s been wet here since yesterday, but the difference is, yesterday was strong wind, and today is somewhat sunny 😊
I checked my replanted currants and raspberries, they look blah 😕 Expected, however with the super strong wind we had yesterday, some raspberries drooped to the grown. Meh 😕 Here is hoping they will survive and return next year, crossing fingers 🤞🙏🤞🙏
The area where we moved raspberries and currants from, looks empty and nice. Then it dawned on me, oh shit! I don’t wanna plant nothing there anymore. It looks nice empty. Makes the yard bigger 🤣 Now I don’t know where to move my front yard flowers to. It was gonna be where the raspberries were 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Yesterday I made steamed buns for the boys. I grew up always loving steamed buns, to this date, and now my two boys also always crazy on steamed buns. You can fill them with sweets, with meat, with boiled egg, with veggies, of a combination of meat, egg and veggies, you can even make them without filling, and yet, they would still make you feel filled 😁
For sweet filling, normally I would use custard, jam, chocolate, PB. However for today, I used homemade blueberry pie filling ad per requested by my oldest 😊
3 c frozen blueberries, give a quick rinse
1/4 c sugar
3 tbsp cornstarch diluted in 1 c water (please watch the vlog)
2 tsp sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast
1 1/4 c lukewarm water
3 c flour
2 tbsp sugar
1/4 tsp BP
A pinch of salt
In a bowl, pour in water, stir in sugar, sprinkle with yeast, let stand for 10 mins
In a pot, stir blueberries and sugar, on med heat, until sugar dissolved, then stir in cornstarch water, bring to boil til thickened, stirring often. Set aside to cool
In a bowl, mix flour, sugar, and salt, make a well in center. Pour in activated yeast, knead. Cover bowl and let dough doubled in size
Divide dough into portions, flatten, then fill center with blueberry pie filling. Shape into rounds.
Preheat your steamer
Steam buns for 15-20 mins
Bakpao Isi Blueberry
