Hello Lovely People ๐
I was gonna share this yesterday as I made it for Canada Day celebration (Canada Day falls in July 1st), yet I was occupied much, so a day late it is ๐ In my defense, we went camping in the backyard, tons of activities for the long weekend for the 4 of us, from gardening, bbqing, cleaning, and tending my youngest as he’s been down with fever since Saturday. So yep, got side track, ran out of time, and only this morning I could edit everything ๐
We couldn’t roast S’mores or have fires, so the camping pary was missing some of the fun. We also didn’t have Canada Day fireworks this year. We still have wildfires, that’s why. In fact, for the past 24 H, 8 new ones started ๐ At least no evacuation alerts for us. Crossing fingers stays that way.l ๐๐๐๐
Anyhoo!
Langos is my youngest’ favorite Hungarian snack. It is fried bread or fried dough, that is originally served topped with sour cream and grated cheese or brushed with garlicky oil and sprinkled with cheese, or a combo of those. The Germans introduced sweet topping, like with bananas, strawberries, chocolate drizzles and whatnot. You could also find Langos that are topped with fish and sausages. While in Hungary, food vendors would sell super large size that is more to a meal as opposed to a snack, I always make mind smaller size ๐
