See … cloudy morning. Yesterday was beautiful, today, not so much. Meh! I do have to mention, back on Sunday, the sun wasn’t looking pretty. It was sunny but the sun was covered with smog already. One of my GFs and I were texting about it. Worrying for our coming Summer where we would always have bush fires problem for the past 5-6 years now. Always ready with our emergency bags of just in case we are told to evacuate, again! Yikes. I will take these cloudy days as long as there would be rain. We so need moistness 🤞🤞🤞🤞
My boys and I still have the cough and the sniffles, which make a fun sleep at night time. But seriously, I won’t mind rainy day now and then. The coldness would still be different than Winter coldness 😁
Moving on from this topic. You know what I’m really here for. Recipe sharing 😉 Another day, another Indonesian recipe. For today, I have Pisang Cokelat, sometimes we would just shortened it as PisCok. It is sweet snack of banana and chocolate filled spring rolls 😊 We would deep fry them, back in Indonesia, however for today’s recipe, I used an air fryer. Less calories 🥳
Spring roll wrappers, as many as you would like to have
Banana, ripe. You can use Cavendish, Plantain, any sweet ripe bananas you like.
Chocolate bars of your choice. If you have chocolate rice (sprinkles, chocolate and butter base), chocolate chips, you can use those.
Water, to moisten the edges of your wrappers
A little oil for brushing (optional)
Slice banana length wise and place a slice on a wrapper, along with a chocolate bar. Place a slice of mozzarella cheese as well if you want to! Us Indonesians love the combination chocolate and cheese. I know it sounds weird, but it’s good 😉 so you can have fillings either just banana, just chocolate, just cheese, or a mix and match, like banana and chocolate, chocolate and cheese, banana and cheese, or trio banana cheese chocolate, it’s up to you, have fun go mad 😁
Moisten the edges of the wrapper, roll like you would savory spring rolls. Repeat steps until you reach as many as dessert spring rolls you’d like to make.
Place the rolls on your air fryer basket, brush top lightly with oil, if you like. Air fry on 400F for 15-20 mins
Enjoy! Do watch out tho, melted chocolate can be hot 😊
