Just a quicky post for Ramadan Day 2, my way of promoting Indonesia through their traditional cakes, sweets, desserts, and snacks 😛
Today we have rice flour porridge served with syrup, and it is good either served warm, room temperature, or chilled.
This porridge is called Bubur Sumsum
Syrup
- 3/4 c brown sugar
- 2 tbsp sugar
- 1 screwpine leaf, tied in knot
- a pinch of salt
- 1/3 c water or a little more
- Boil until sugars are dissolved, set aside
Porridge
- 1 can coconut milk, 400 ml
- 1/3 c rice flour (about 80 g)
- 1 screwpine leaf, tied in knot
- 1/2 tsp salt (you want your porridge to taste a little salty)
- Dissolve flour in 3-4 tbsp water, set aside
- Bring milk, screwpine leaf, salt to boil
- Pour rice flour mixture, boil til thickened, stirring continuously
- Serve porridge with the syrup!

Dah hari ke-3 aja nih, dan tentunya dah hari ke-4 di Indo yak 😀 Pasti masih semangat 45 dong 😀
Kemarin untuk hari ke-2, aku bikin Bubur Sumsum, ga pake ribet hahahha Habis ga ada Pasar Ramadhan, ga bisa berbuka dengan beragam takjil dah wkwkwkw
Kuah Gula Merah
- 3/4 gelas gula merah
- 2 sdm gula pasir
- 1 daun pandan, ikat
- sejumput gara,
- 1/3 gelas air
- Didihkan hingga gula larut, saring jika perlu
Bubur
- 400 ml santan1 daun pandan, ikat1/2 sdt garam (atau secukupnya, yang penting kudu gurih)80 g tepung beras3-4 sdm airCairkan tepung beras dengan air, sisihkanDidihkan santan, daun pandan, dan garamMasukkan larutan tepung beras, masak hingga mengental, sambil terus diadukSajikan dengan kuah gula merahnya 😀
Bubur Sumsum
Ingredients
Kinca
- 3/4 gelas gula merah
- 2 sdm gula pasir
- 1 daun pandan ikat
- sejumput garam
- 1/3 gelas air
Bubur
- 400 ml santan
- 1 daun pandan ikat
- 1/2 sdt garam atau secukupnya, yang penting kudu gurih
- 80 g tepung beras
- 3-4 sdm air
Instructions
Kinca
- Didihkan hingga gula larut, saring jika perlu
Bubur
- Cairkan tepung beras dengan air, sisihkan
- Didihkan santan, daun pandan, dan garam
- Masukkan larutan tepung beras, masak hingga mengental, sambil terus diaduk
- Sajikan dengan kuah gula merahnya 😀
