This Monday I have a recipe to share of sweet and tart pie.
If you like just the sweetness, omit the fresh cranberries. If you’d like tartness but just a tad, use 1/4 c only. Whichever you prefer 😊
9 apples
1/2 bag Cranberries
1/3 c sugar
A generous pinch cinnamon powder
1 lemon
3 c flour
1/3 c sugar
220 g df fat/golden shortening – chilled
A pinch of salt
1 whole egg worth aquafaba
110 ml df milk
1 tbsp sugar
3/4 tbsp active dry yeast
Sweet and Tart Cranberry Pie
Ingredients
- 9 apples
- 1/2 bag Cranberries
- 1/3 c sugar
- A generous pinch cinnamon powder
- 1 lemon
- 3 c flour
- 1/3 c sugar
- 220 g df fat/golden shortening – chilled
- A pinch of salt
- 1 whole egg worth aquafaba
- 110 ml df milk
- 1 tbsp sugar
- 3/4 tbsp active dry yeast
Instructions
- Grate apple, mix with sugar, cinnamon, lemon cranberries
- Bloom yeast in lukewarm milk and a tbsp sugar
- Mix dry ingredients
- Add in wet ingredients
- Knead
- Divide, roll flat, one bottom crust, one top crust
- Poke holes
- Bake on preheated 350 f convection oven 35 mins
