We had an awesome Halloween party this year. I prepared tons of goodies to spoil the littles. Our house was so lively even with only 7 kids haha
I prepared these following chocolate covered apples, cake pops in the form of spiders, ghost brains, jack o lantern chocolate covered oreos, a big cake, and so on.
But what took the attention was the frog eggs drink. Kids were scared of those hahaha I will share the recipe for this drink too, of course!
These chocolate covered apples can be prepared ahead of time if you’d like harden chocolate, and fresh if you prefer a runnier chocolate 😀
Ingredients
- Apples either sweet or tart, wash and pat to dry, slice into wedges and remove the seeds
- Either baking chocolate regular chocolate, or chocolate wafer, melted (you can add flavoring of your choice and a little butter/shortening)
- Halloween related sprinkles for example orange yellow and black as I use (there are bats sprinkles, spiders sprinkles, ghost sprinkles, or you can use mini Reese’s, M N Ms, etc)
Instructions
-
Insert sticks into apple wedges and dip them in melted chocolate
-
Sprinkle the whole or just the half top with colorful sprinkles and stand them on cake pop stand or just lay them on rack/parchment paper until set
-
Enjoy~
If prepared ahead of time and stored in fridge, chocolate will be “sweating” – this don’t happen on cake pops but on sliced fruits (such as apples, pears, melon) it will happen so don’t be alarmed
