In Indonesia we call these “snacks” as dadar jagung.
While fritters mainly are for snacking, we would also serve these fritters to accompany our rice either for lunch or dinner.
Can you believe it? It’s like one of the staple side dishes for the Indonesians and yet I have never made this for my now 3.5 yo son!!! lol
This is just the lazy version. Saw a friend posting similar earlier and it made me remember I had 3 boiled sweet corn in the fridge
So voila!
3 boiled sweet corns, peel the corn only and throw away the husk hahha
onion powder as needed
garlic powder as needed
salt as needed
ground white pepper a tad
1 whole egg plus 1 tbsp egg white (since I had left over from baking)
4 tbsp flour
oil for frying
Mix all ingredients and fry!
See, simple and yet lazy (since Indonesians would use fresh corn and put more spices obv.!)
