Happy Wednesday!
Beautiful sunny Wednesday today. I went to the garden, checking all my plants, and watered them. I didn’t water them yesterday as it was raining, and also only once the previous day before it started to rain. All plants seemed happy, so that’s good.
My lilacs blooming like crazy this year. Am so happy. Lovely scents whenever there is breeze. Maybe I will make lilac jelly but am not too sure yet. I don’t want to waste them as they are edible, but they are too pretty to pick off the branches. And again, the lovely scents 😍
Today I have a quicky recipe to share. Yep. I have tons of house chores to do, so just a quicky one 😊
1/4 c diced baby potatoes
1/3 c diced baby carrots
3-4 tbsp Chinese celery
1/4 c green onion
1 kg ground chicken
1 1/2 tbsp chicken bouillon powder
1 tsp garlic powder
Sesame oil to taste
2 eggs
4 tbsp cornstarch
3 bags tofu puff ready to use
Make cross incisions on tofu, set to side
In a bowl, mix veggies (the baby potatoes and from a mix colorful potatoes by the way), then add in ground chicken and the rest of the ingredients, until completely combined
Using a small spoon, fill in tofu through the incisions, with chicken mixture
Preheat your steamer to fully boil, steam filled tofu for 20-40 minutes, depending on how full you fill the steamer
Enjoy as is, with bird eye chilies, with peanut sauce or even just Sriracha sauce 😉 We serve some with our rice and Sayur Bening (Indonesian spinach soup), and some with rice plus Sop (Indonesian veggie and chicken soup).
