My new coworker is from The Philippines and she loves indulging me with Filipino sweets, like this following dessert.
It is so rich, so sweet. I added crushed ice and it was just so nice. Reminds me of so many Indonesian ice desserts such as es campur, es teler, etc.
1 bag of colorful sago pearls
1 bag of green gulaman
1 jar of young coconut, sweetened
1 jar of nata de coco, rinse
1 can of green grass jelly
2 cans of thick cream
1 can of sweetened condensed milk
1/2 can of evaporated milk
Firstly, cook the sago pearls first, as well make the gulaman, according to the instruction on the packaging. Then all you have to do is slice the grass jelly, place into a bowl. Add in the young coconut (drain from the jar), followed with rinsed nata de coco, and the rest of the ingredients. Pour in thick cream, condensed mik, and evaporated milk, and your buko pandan is ready!
