Good Morning!
Guess where I am atm? Yep. ER again. Unfortunately my son with the ruptured ear drum, was throwing up since the day he got the antibiotics til last night. So back to ER we went. He is getting 3 pouches of IV atm, of gravol, antibiotics, and saline to help him dehydrated. Poor guy can’t catch a break!
His IV made him drowsy, so he dozed off. So while waiting, thought I’d share a recipe.
This following dish is a cross between smoked and grilled chicken. You don’t have to smoke it, but it gives more flavor and aroma.
1.4 kg chicken things, with skin, but somewhat boneless
1/3 c smooth PB
2 tsp mushroom granules or to taste
1 tsp garlic powder or to taste
2-3 tsp onion powder or to taste
1 tsp dark chili powder
A generous pinch of ground mustard
Salt to taste
1-2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (kecap manis)
1/2-3/4 water
Mix PB, water, seasoning, and sweet soy sauce in a bowl, until completely combined.
Spoon some sauce onto baking pan, then top with chicken pieces, coat.
Pour the rest of the sauce, covering the chicken. Cover with aluminum foil and smoke for at least 30-40 mins, before grilling.
Bon appetit!
