Thought today I’d share a bread maker recipe of making dinner buns with tomato soup as the main ingredient ?
My youngest likes these buns especially the ones topped with pepitas ?
Making bread is of course much easier when there is a bread maker to help, but if you don’t have, you can for sure do it manually, kneading with hands ?
Here are the ingredients!
- 1 c condensed tomato soup
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 3 1/4 c bread flour
- 1/4 c sugar
- 3 tsp coarse Kosher salt
- 3 tsp active dry yeast

Tomato Soup Dinner Buns
Ingredients
- 1 c condensed tomato soup
- 2 tbsp butter
- 1 egg
- 3 1/4 c bread flour
- 1/4 c sugar
- 3 tsp coarse Kosher salt
- 3 tsp active dry yeast
Instructions
- Place everything into a bread maker, in the order given
- Let the bread maker does its magic! – for mixing and proofing
- Divide dough into portions and shape each into round buns
- Roll buns into pepitas if you like
- Let buns rest for 45 mins to 1 H
- Preheat oven to 350 F, bake for 20 mins
