Hi There Friends!
Are you familiar with anything Canadian? POUTINE you said? Who doesn’t know that! But I was thinking of sweets, of course ????
I have a Canadian sweet recipe to share today, altho once you realize what exactly it is, you may find similarities to your country’s sweets or other international sweets that are similar to this one.
It is called Beaver’s Tail, yep, we are going to fry a beaver’s tail today ?✌?✌
It is sweet topped fried dough actually.
The most common topping/coating is the combination of sugar and cinnamon, but many would have whipped cream, chocolate spread, fresh fruits and whatever people want to top it with ????
Like the following am sharing, it is topped with chocolate ganache and banana slices, yum, yum, yum.
Here are the ingredients!
- 360 ml lukewarm water
- 2 tsp active dry yeast
- 500 g flour
- A pinch of salt
- 3 tsp sugar
- 52 g vegan margarine
- Vegetable oil for frying
- Topping/coating of your choice (banana, chocolate ganache)
- Method is as simple as mixing wet to dry and then to let it rest.
- Shape it, fry it, sweeten it, devour it
Simple and drools worthy ?????
