The 1st time I had this kind of roulade was when I lived in Yogyakarta, Central Java, Indonesia. It was at an eatery, for university students especially.
It was good, but I thought it did not have beef, or if it did, it was only a little beef, but a whole lot more of bread and breadcrumbs or even flour 😛
It did not stop me from getting them at the same eatery though, but only when I had money, as it was not the cheapest on the menu haha
I added omelet in the center of my roulade just to make it prettier rather than more protein actually. Yep, I am weird like that haha But of course, more protein is better for the two little boys who are growing at this house 😉

2 eggs,
2 tbsp olive oil
Heat oil, make omelet
350 g ground beef
2 eggs
2 slice of breads
1 large onion
2 tsp Vegeta powder
Blender all ingredients
Spread onto aluminum foil
Place omelet, roll
Steam for 45-60 mins
1 egg
Enough bread crumbs
Cooking oil
Heat oil
Unwrap roulade, roll into breadcrumbs
Roll into beaten egg, and roll it again on breadcrumbs
Fry for 3 minutes on all sides
Sauce:
1 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp flour
Vegeta powder, white pepper powder, allspice powder, freshly grated nutmeg – all to taste
450 ml beef broth
2 tbsp sweet soy sauce (or more if you like sweeter sauce)
1 tbsp flour mixed with 2 tbsp water
Melt margarine, stir in flour
Add in flavoring then pour in broth
Add in sweet soy sauce and thicken with flour solution
Serve roulade with sauce! – which I did not take any pictures while making, but I did record it 😉
Rolade Daging (Beef Roulade)
Ingredients
Omelet (optional)
