Made a super duper easy cake today, which is Lamington Cake, but I shaped it into a spider. My 5 yo calls it The Mysterious Spider, idk why, don’t ask me 🤣 I agreed with him with the name, because…I mentioned it on the vid, you just gotta watch it 😁
Cake
1 1/2 c flour
3/4 c sugar
1 tsp BSoda
A pinch of salt
1 c water
1 tsp vinegar
5 tbsp oil
1 1/2 tsp Mexican vanilla extract
Choc Sauce
1/4 c + 2 tbsp icing sugar
1 tbsp vegan margarine
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 c hot boiling water
Unsweetened desiccated coconut
Melted DF choc chips
Chocolate sticks/chocolate coated cookie sticks/chocolate coater pretzels (whichever you like)
Eye candies (homemade or store bought – no shellac, no confectioner glaze)

Ingredients
- 1 1/2 c flour
- 3/4 c sugar
- 1 tsp BSoda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 c water
- 1 tsp vinegar
- 5 tbsp oil
- 1 1/2 tsp Mexican vanilla extract
Chocolate Sauce/Syrup
- 1/4 c + 2 tbsp icing sugar
- 1 tbsp vegan margarine
- 2 tbsp cocoa powder
- 14 c hot boiling water
- Unsweetened desiccated coconut
- Melted DF choc chips
Decorations
- Chocolate sticks/chocolate coated cookie sticks/chocolate coater pretzels whichever you like
- Eye candies homemade or storebought – no shellac, no confectioner glaze
Instructions
- Mix dry mix in wet
- Bake 350 F preheated convection oven for 20-40 mins
Chocolate Sauce
- Mix everything
- Dampened cake with sauce, coat with coconut
