Morning Friends! I baked this braided bread last night for our “dessert” 🤣 I had 2 avocados that were getting too ripe, and I thought of making ice cream but it was late already, so they ended up used to make the bread instead 😁 The following bread used bread flour, but you can use AP flour just fine. It’s all depending your yeast obviously 😉
Here is the recipe!
1 c lukewarm water (or milk of your choice)
1 tbsp active dry yeast
3 – 3 1/2 c bread flour
2 tbsp maple syrup
1 avocado, mash, should make 1/3 c
1/3 c melted vegan margarine (or butter or coconut oil)
2 tbsp nut milk of your choice (optional, if using 3 1/2 c flour instead just 3 c)
DF chocolate spread (or homemade Notella aka DF Nutella )
Bloom yeast in water
Mix flour and a pinch of salt
Add in yeast, followed with avocado, knead
Knead in melted margarine
Let rest an H until doubled in size
Roll flat
Spread choc spread
Roll and slice into 3, braid
Let rest 15 mins
Bake on preheated 350 F for 25 mins
