TGIF Friends! And don’t I have a yummy yet easy baking recipe for you 😉 It’s Babka time! 🍞🎂🍞🎂 You can shape your Babka into loaf, round, ring, or even smaller individual serving sizes. Babka is a lot yum! Served with a glass of cold milk, or hot cocoa, tea and/or coffee, YUUUUUUUMMM 😉
Here is the recipe 😊
Dough:
1 c lukewarm water
1 tbsp sugar
2 tsp active dry yeast
3 1/2 c AP flour
1/2 c sugar
A pinch of salt
Bloom yeast in water with sugar
Mix dry, add in yeast, knead, rest
Filling:
1/2 c almond butter
1 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp cocoa powder
1/4 c brown sugar
Mix everything
Sprinkling:
Enough sugar
Roll flat dough, spread filling, sprinkle with sugar, roll, slice, braid, let rest
Streussel Topping:
1/2 c brown sugar
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c AP flour
1/4 c vegan margarine
Mix everything
Brush babka with nut milk, sprinkle with streusel
Bake preheated 350 F 30-40 mins
Cool on rack
