We have a sunny day, which am so thrilled about, as it means my turmeric plants still can be grown outside, no need to drag those heavy pots inside, just yet, haha
The morning has been cold, windshield ice-scraping days are already here, but come noonish the temperature is warm, so it’s good. Fall weather is like a whiplash, don’t you think? Cold and hot and cold and hot, plus super windy, not breezy anymore hahaha Try picturing Mary Poppin with her umbrella, blown away. Yep, windy like so.
What about on your neck of the wood? What season is it where you are?
I fried some donuts today. But instead shaping them round, I made them as pizza slices, triangles, pull-part donuts 😉
The nature of the donuts itself are not sweet at all, so you would want to sweeten them with glaze or topping of your preferance.
I topped the slices with various topping
Here is the recipe should you like to try 🙂
– 150 ml lukewarm nut milk
– 1 tsp active dry yeast
– 2 tbsp sugar
– 250 g AP flour
– a pinch of salt
– 2 tbsp vegan margarine
– vegetable oil, as needed
– Mix sugar and yeast into lukewarm milk, let it stand for 5 mins to bloom
– Mix flour and salt in a bowl
– Pour in yeast into dry ingredients, knead
– Knead in margarine until dough no longer wet
– Let dough rest for 30-40 mins, covered
– Punch down dough to let air out, roll flat into a round dough
– Slice into pizza slices, cover and let rise again for 20 mins
– Heat oil, medium temperature, fry donut for 5 mins on one side, turn over and fry for another 2-3 mins
– Cool donuts before glazing
For the glaze and topping
– Coconut-Matcha => I grind desiccated coconut along with matcha leaf and icing sugar. For the green glaze was just icing sugar with a little nut milk and green food coloring.
– Double Chocolate => DF chocolate sprinkles made of cocoa butter, with DF chocolate spread.
– Vanilla Chocolate => The pink glaze was icing sugar, nut milk, vanilla extract, and red food coloring. The drizzle was melted DF chocolate chips
– Kahlua => The glaze was icing sugar with Kahlua, and the chocolate was melted DF choc chips that I just swirled a little, with skewer
– Cereal => Melted DF chocolate chip sprinkled with crushed yellow cereal
– Chocolate Almond ==> DF chocolate spread with toasted slivered almond (1 minute on microwave, so lazy toasting them properly :P)
– Chocolate Sprinkles => DF chocolate spread with vegan-friendly sugar sprinkle

Hari ini aku bikin donat, saking latah lihat donat cantik-cantik di Instagram, apalagi buatan adikku, endut-endut deh donat dia, keren abis.
Jadi yah tadi habis antar anak ke sekolah, bersih-bersih rumah dulu alias membabu, langsung tancap bikin adonan hehe
Ngomong-ngomong, lagi musim apakah di daerah teman? Musim durian? Musim jengkol? Musim maling wkwkkw Disini pagi dah dingin banget sampai kaca mobil dah mulai ber-es, tapi siang dikitan masih lumayan keringatan. Jadi bikin pusing cuaca gini. Apalagi angin kencang banget deh, kalau bawa payungya Rihanna, terbang kali yak, sambil tereak-tereak, “my umbrella…ella…ella…ella”
Bingung si Ella, kita panggil-panggil 😛
Donat berikut ini ga manis yah adonannya, karena memang diniatin dihias dengan glazur, jadi kalau donatnya manis, ditambah glazur gula, bakalan jadi super manis dan bakalan eneg. Toping sesuai selera aja yah 🙂
Nih resepnya kalau mau coba juga yak 🙂

– 2 sdm gula pasir
– 1 sdt ragi butiran
– 250 g terigu
– sejumput garam
– 2 sdm margarin
– Minyak goreng secukupnya
– Campur gula dan susu, masukkan ragi, kembangkan 5 menit
– Campur terigu dan garam
– Tuang ragi, uleni adonan hingga 1/2 kalis
– Beri margarin, dan uleni hingga kalis
– Tutup dengan lap bersih, diamkan hingga mengembang, 30 menit
– Kempeskan adonan, gilas membentuk lingkaran
– Iris seperti pizza, dan diamkan kembali, tertutup, selama 20 menit
– Goreng dengan api sedang hingga kecoklatan, tiriskan, dinginkan sebelum dihias
Untuk glazur dan toping
– Taburan Kelapa-Teh Hijau => kelapa bubuk, campur dengan teh hijau bubuk dan gula halus/gula donat, secukupnya rasa manis. Untuk glazur, gula donat di kasih sedikit susu dan pewarna hijau
– Cokelat=> selai cokelat dan meises
– Vanila Cokelat => Glazurnya gula donat, susu, esens vanila, pewarna merah. Lalu diberi lelehan cokelat
– Kahlua => disana ada ga? Minuman rasa kopi. Jadi hanya gula donat dan Kahlua. Terus beri lelehan cokelat dan tarik sana sini dengan tusuk gigi
– Cereal => selai cokelat dan remahan cereal warna kuning
– Cokelat Almon => selai cokelat dan almon iris
– Cokelat Sprinkles => selai cokelat dan meises warna-warni
– Biasa => yang satu lagi mati gaya, dah males mau diapa-apain, jadi kukasih cokelat leleh doang wkwkwk
Jadi deh, ga pakai ribet hehe 😀

- 2 sdm gula pasir
- 1 sdt ragi butiran
- 250 g terigu
- sejumput garam
- 2 sdm margarin
- Minyak goreng secukupnya
Instructions
- – Campur gula dan susu, masukkan ragi, kembangkan 5 menit
- – Campur terigu dan garam
- – Tuang ragi, uleni adonan hingga 1/2 kalis
- – Beri margarin, dan uleni hingga kalis
- – Tutup dengan lap bersih, diamkan hingga mengembang, 30 menit
- – Kempeskan adonan, gilas membentuk lingkaran
- – Iris seperti pizza, dan diamkan kembali, tertutup, selama 20 menit
