30 Days of Indonesia #23
Morning friends!
Another day, another Indonesian traditional cake recipe is coming to your Steemit feed.
Today is Day 24, but I have yet posting for Day 23! Yesterday was pretty hectic, I did not have time to update. Today will be another busy day as my son will have a friend over right after school, and sometime in the eve I have to pack as we will be heading out of town, woo-hoo ? Although that means I won’t be able to update for this series for a couple of days. Ah well!
For Day 23, I have another sponge cake that we call as Putu Ayu.
If you have been following, you would notice most of Indonesian traditional goodies use coconut milk. These following cakelettes are also with coconut milk ?

ingredients
- 125 ml coconut milk, heat in microwave for 30 seconds
- 90 g flour
- 50 g sugar
- 1/2 tsp each BPowder and BSoda
- 1/2 tsp Pandan essence (screwpine) and a couple drops of green food coloring – should you be able to find Pandan paste, omit essence and food coloring
- a pinch of salt
- 1 tsp vanilla essence
topping
- 1/4 c unsweetened desiccated coconut
- generous pinches of salt
- 1 tbsp water
how to
- in a bowl, mix coconut, water and salt, heat in microwave 1 minute, at 30 seconds intervals
- grease molds with cooking oil, then spoon some coconut into molds
- preheat steamer
- mix dry ingredients then pour in wet ingredients, stir well
- pour batter covering coconut and steam for 20-25 minutes

Untuk hari ke 23 kemarin, aku bikin putu ayu, dan hari ke 24 ini, aku ada wingko babat, yang tentunya ntar malam kalau belum pingsan, baru akan di unggah ?

bahan2
125 ml santan, agak hangat

1/2 sdt esens pandan dan sedikit pewarna makanan, hijau

1/4 gelas kelapa parut kering siap pakai
sejumput garam
1 sdm air
cara membuat
campur kelapa, air, garam di mangkuk, panaskan di microwave, 1 menit
beri minyak sedikit, pada cetakan kue, taburi dengan kelapa
panaskan kukusan
campurkan bahan lainnya, aduk rata, tuang pada cetakan
kukus 20-25 menit

Putu Ayu

- masing2 1/2 sdt baking powder dan soda kue
- sejumput garam
- 1 sdt esens vanila
- 1/2 sdt esens pandan dan sedikit pewarna makanan hijau
- kelapa
- 1/4 gelas kelapa parut kering siap pakai
- sejumput garam
- 1 sdm air
Instructions
- campur kelapa, air, garam di mangkuk, panaskan di microwave, 1 menit
- beri minyak sedikit, pada cetakan kue, taburi dengan kelapa
- panaskan kukusan
- campurkan bahan lainnya, aduk rata, tuang pada cetakan
- kukus 20-25 menit
