Back to school today for us here in BC, Canada. We had long weekend as it was Victoria Day and I spent my time watching the Royal Wedding, Billboard Awards, and Wakanda Forever ๐ My husband on the other hand, got sunburnt as he cleaned the gravels off the lawn with his power broom, cut the grasses on front and back yard, and helped with house chores. SCORED ๐คฃ Wife of the year here ๐คฃ I napped a lot too ๐๐๐๐
Too bad the boys bickered too much though ๐๐๐ Silly boys.
Yesterday I did not make anything fancy. It was darn hot to turn on the oven, the stove, the TV, the hairdrier. Everything heat up the house boo-hoo. So I prepared cold drink instead desserts.
This one is called Es Blewah.
You can either use cantaloupe or honeydew. It’s very refreshing. You can have additional goodies in it, or just the fruit and the syrup. Some would add young coconut meat, grass jelly, etc., but I added basil seeds in mine ๐

Pagi teman (malam kalian)
Kemarin panas banget disini, jadi males mau ke dapur, oleh karena itu, semalam aku cuman buat es blewah, biar bikin adem dikit ๐
Dulu di Kalimantan, kami tinggal dekat hutan dan tetangga kami petani blewah. Kalau sudah panen, kami kadang ketiban rejeki. Kakak perempuanku suka bikin es blewah, masa kami kecil2 dulu
Kemarin pas chatting sama adik dan nanya gimana dulu kalau kita bikin es blewah, sepertinya berbeda dengan resep2 yang ada di internet, adik ga ingat masa kecil euy, soalnya sekarang kalau bikin, campur sirup botolan, biar ga repot ๐
Ya udah deh, mengarang indah ini hasilnya
Kata anakku yang sulung, “ini enak, Ma, mirip es Meksiko tempo hari” ๐คฃ Iya aku pernah posting resep es Meksiko beberapa bulan yang lalu d Steemit. Masih ingat dia ternyata ๐คฃ
