N’Oatmeal? What the hell is that, you asked?
Well it’s oat porridge-like that is made without oat, usually with hemp seeds and chia seeds as the based. Some like it with flax seeds as well. It’s packed with fibers and goodies. So yummy!
It’s great when you don’t have (quick cooking) oat at home, not into oatmeal but still would like porridge like breakfast, has sensitivity to oat and whatnot.
So you get it, right? No oatmeal, not oatmeal, N’Oatmeal 😉
I know, us vegans, always trying to be too cool for school 😂
My following porridge is without hemp seeds though, I will share the ones with hemp seeds in coming days 😊
Ingredients
- 1 tbsp flax meal
- 3 tbsp chia seeds
- 1/2 c hot boiling water – a squirt of low/zero calories sweetener
- 1/2 of a mango, process to juice/puree with 1/2 unsweetened almond milk
- slivered almond for topping
- dried fruit (e.g pineapple) for topping
Mix flax and chia, pour hot water, mix. Stir in sweetener.
Puree mango with milk, pour into chia mixture. Sprinkle with almond and dried pineapple.
Mix everything and serve!
Easy peasy and filling 😉
Vegan N’oatmeal
