1/3 c x 7 super soft cooked huskless split black matpe Beans (mashed potatoes consistency)
A couple drop of liquid smoke oil
2 tbsp Montreal chicken seasoning
10-12 tbsp seasoned breadcrumbs (non seasoned is fine)
Corn oil for frying (not too much, don’t want the patties to become soggy)
4 tbsp additional breadcrumbs
Mix beans, breadcrumbs, seasoning, liquid smoke. Shape into patties. Roll on additional breadcrumbs
Fry on hot oil on medium heat until golden brown
Serve as is with ketchup/Sriracha, or on a bed of salad, or as ‘burger’. Please note the patties are not firm like bean/veggie burgers, as normally we eat them on salad. Today I felt like serving them on buns lol
