This following recipe for the wings is one of our family’s favorite finger food for movie night 😀
There is a contest on instructables.com that I would like to enter, and I will be sending in this following 😀
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp light brown sugar (coconut palm sugar, regular brown sugar, dark brown sugar – whichever you have at home)
6 tbsp ketchup (no sugar added)
2 tbsp tomato paste
4 tsp Worcestershire sauce
a generous pinch cayenne powder (or 1 tsp crushed dried red pepper flakes)
Mix all in a bowl, then add in 1 tbsp raisins, a tsp allspice powder and 1/2 tsp onion powder, stir well.
1/3 c cooking oil
half of a medium size onion, chopped
2 garlic cloves, minced
Heat oil and saute onion and garlic until fragrant, then pour in sauce mixture, stir, on high heat
Low heat to low and simmer for 3 minutes
Pour mixture into a food processor, and process for a minute
Line aluminum foil on baking sheet and grease with butter, set aside
Marinade 20-25 chicken wings with sauce, coating well then place wings into the sheet
