Hungarian stew that is known as fozelek, is always mouth watering. They can be beans, potato, vegetables, or a mix of all those. Fozelek is often simple, easy to prepare, yet very filling.
We love making all sorts of fozelek in this house 😀
1 kg bag mixed veggies such as corn, carrot, peas, cauliflower
1/2 of 1 large onion
3-4 garlic, sliced
2 chicken knorr cubes
3/4 c flour
1 c water
1 tsp sweet paprika powder
enough water
salt, pepper, Hungarian Vegeta powder to taste (available online, major grocery stores, or can be subs with bouillon powder)
If your veggies are frozen, thaw first, rinse and place in pot. Cover with enough water. Drop in sliced garlic and onion, bring to boil
Lower heat to medium and let simmer until veggies are cooked
Add in Knorr cubes, stir
Dissolve flour in water and pour in mixture into the pot, as thickening agent, stir
Stir in paprika powder and seasonings
Adjust to taste
Serve warm and enjoy
