Yep. You may have guessed it. There is a contest that I want to enter at instructables.com hahahha When you see me post tons of bakings within days, that is usually due to their contest 😛
This time I will (also) be entering the contest with this STEAMED brownies 😀
If this coffee brownies is to be served for your lil ones as well, I would suggest to use decaf coffee instead 🙂
1 tbsp instant coffee granules dissolved in 200 ml hot water
200 ml cooking oil
2 eggs
200 g sugar
200 g flour
40 g cocoa powder
2 tbsp hot chocolate powder such as from Tim Horton’s or chocolate malt drink such as Milo
a pinch of salt
1 tsp baking soda
enough chopped walnut/pecan/peanuts/sesame seeds whichever
Prepare steamer pot, bring water to boil on high heat, then lower the heat to medium while preparing batter
Mix coffee with cooking oil, set aside
Mix eggs and sugar using wire whisk, set aside
Combine dry powder well
Into eggs mixture, stir in dry mixture and coffee mixture alternating each other. Start with adding dry then wet then dry
Pour batter into mold, sprinkle with chopped walnuts and steam for 30 minutes
Cool on rack
