This following cupcake cake was made for Alicia. She is a lovely returning customer. I think this was the 3rd cake that I made for her.
Here I have a Super Mario Bros pull-up cupcakes to share, of chocolate and vanilla. The birthday boy wanted a Super Mario 3D character in a cat suit 😀
I used buttercream transfer to make Mario (and fondant for the letters), easy peasy and delicious.
With buttercream transfer, which is also cheaper than fondant and better than edible print, all you have to do is trace the template, turn it over so you wont be touching the ink, place a parchment paper over, and with your favorite buttercream (the one that will harden in the fridge) just pipe accordingly. Place it in the fridge til harden, flip slowly on your prepare cake, peel the parchment paper, and voila. Your cake will be decorated nicely
If you like chocolate better, this same method applies as well 😀
Either for regular cake or pull apart, with buttercream rather than fondant or chocolate, you can slice the cake or pull off each cupcakes neatly, less work, less mess, especially when it comes to kids birthday party 🙂
Here is my beautiful friend, Alicia, showing off the pull-apart cake 😀
