This is actually from my neighbor, Robyn 😀 I sent the family a box of sweets for Xmas, and in return they sent me these goodies. What an awesome neighbor I got 😀

Brick of butter melted in a heavy bottomed sauce pan add 2 cups of white sugar. Slowly bring to a boil while continually stirring with a large metal spoon. Bring to 300 degrees ..pour on to metal cookie sheet lined with parchment… tilt pan to spread.. Immediately sprinkle with bag of milk chocolate chips over top and spread with rubber spatula. Sprinkle entire bag of silvered almonds.
Let set for 3 hours then break apart
Almond Roca
Ingredients
- A brick of butter
- 2 c white sugar
- A bag of milk choc chips
- A bag of slivered almonds
Instructions
- Melt butter, add in sugar, bring to a boil stirring continuously
- Boil until candy thermometer shows 300 F
- Pour onto cookie sheet lined with parchment, tilt to spread
- Top with choc chips, spread
- Sprinkle with almond
- Let set for 3 H before breaking it into pieces
