We call this sweetened pop corns as ghost brains on Halloween and reindeer/Santa/snowman’s poops or festive moose munch for Christmas 🙂
Easy to make, pleased the crowd, and totally kids approved! – including me hahaha
I just cannot stop munching them, thanks to the lovely chocolate melts!
Ingredients
- regular popcorns -corn especially for making popcorn 2 c, this will make 2 big bowls of cooked popcorn
- 6 tbsp butter
- 3 tbsp corn syrup
- 3/4 c dark brown sugar
- 1/4 tsp vanilla essence
- 1/4 tsp bSoda
- Colorful chocolate melts chocolate wafer/melting chocolate
- M nMs or Reeses or even nuts and raisins if you like! – crushes mint candies if it’s Christmas related
Instructions
- Preheat oven to 300 F
- Bring to boil on medium heat, butter, corn syrup, brown sugar, for 4 minutes. Add in vanilla and soda, stir, then pour onto cooked popcorns, stir to combine.
- Spread onto a sheet and bake for 10 minutes for chewy result, or 12-15 minutes for crunchy
- Take out of oven, drizzle melted chocolate and add in additional.
- Stir well with wooden spoon and spoon into Halloween decorated drink cups (you can also draw the cups with marker instead stickers)
- Enjoy~
