This Lebanese lentil soup is super easy to make and it only uses salt and pepper to taste. Too bad the recipe book does not mention which type of lentil, thus I used red lentil. I also did not know what it was gonna be like, only once done cooking I googled.
Some people use regular lentil, some other red lentil. Some pics look thickened, some others dont
The recipe book I have, uses swiss chard but only as optional. I didnt have, I only had kale
400 g ground beef (org: 1 c beef/lamb)
2 tbsp salted butter (org: just butter)
1 large onion, chopped
A bunch of kale (org: 1 c chopped swiss chard)
10 c water
Salt pepper to taste
1 lemon, freshly squeeze right at serving
Saute onion butter meat until brown
Add in the rest
Cook until lentils tender
Serve with lemon
