900 g chicken breast fillet, slice strips or cubed or as desired
4-5 medium-big size potatoes, skinned, cubed or sliced as desired, fry until golden brown, set aside
5 cloves
2 cinnamon barks
1 can of coconut milk
1/2 can of water (use the coconut milk\’s can)
6 dried red chilies (can be purchased in Chinatown or any Asian stores), make fine ground using your food processor or coffee grinder or pestle and mortar
1 large onion, sliced
2-3 cm ginger, skinned, sliced
1 tbsp ground black pepper
2 tsp ground white pepper
1/2 tsp turmeric powder
Hungarian Vegeta seasoning as needed (substitute with any other seasoning even soup base powder)
Salt to taste (add a little MSG if you wish)
about 2 tbsp vegetable oil or as needed
Heat oil, saute onion and ginger; add in the rest of the spices
Add in cubed chicken, stir well to coat
Pour in coconut milk and water, let boils but stir once awhile
Add Hungarian Vegeta seasoning, salt and msg; stir well, adjust the flavor to your liking
Cook until coconut milk is thicken and lessen, and chicken done
Add in fried potatoes, stir a bit, turn off stove
Serve with warm rice and side dishes
Black Peppered Chicken with Gravy
