Trying a recipe from one of the Hungarian cook books I got from my husband’s grandmother 😀
If you can find crisp waffle wafer, it’s even better to use for the pie!
150 g butter
2 yolks
2 eggs
150 g icing sugar
150 g walnut, ground
40 g bread crumbs
a few drops lime juice
2 egg white
black cherries, pitted, fresh or frozen is fine (thaw if frozen)
waffle wafer if you can find it, if not just use the white wafer on the picture
Beat yolks and butter until smooth
Beat in icing sugar followed with the eggs, one at a time
In a separate bowl and with clean beater, beat egg whites until stiff
Fold egg whites into yolk mixture then add in walnut plus lime juice
Pour half mixture into greased and floured pie pan
Top with wafer then top with cherries and lastly the left over batter
Bake at preheated 350 F for at least 20 minutes
Serve with whipped cream and enjoy 🙂

A vajat a tojassargajaval jol kikeverjuk, es allando keveres kozben egyenkent hozzaadjuk a ket egesz tojast, majd ismet habosra keverjuk. Beletesszuk az orolt diot, a finom morzsat, a citromlevet es a tojasfeherjebol kemenyre felvert habot. A teszta felet kikent, morzsaval meghintett tepsire ontjuk, es beboritjuk negyszogletes ostyalapokkal. Az ostyara megtisztitott es kimagozott cseresznyet rakunk, es ujbol ostyalapokkal fedjuk be. Raontjuk a teszta masik felet, es elomelegitett sutoben lassan megsutjuk. A kihult tesztat felszeleteljuk.
