Yeah I know, I should have posted the recipe in the morning, not evening time (almost bed time even), but you can make them come tomorrow morning 😉 Actually you can have them anytime, but since I made the pastry for breakfast 😉
I baked apple pie again earlier, but since I have posted the recipe sometime last week, I’m going to share this breakfast apple pastry instead 😊
Ingredients
- 2 c flour
- 3 tsp BPowder
- 1/3 c melted margarine
- 2/3 c milk
- 6 apples, skinned, sliced thinly (makes 2 cups)
- 1 tbsp margarine
- 1 bag/envelope low calorie sweetener (or 2 tsp sugar)
Additional (optional)
- Mix cocoa powder with sugar granules
How To
- Heat margarine, saute apple til soften, stir in sugar/sweetener. Set aside, reserve 1 tbsp.
- Mix flour, BP, make a well in center, pour in milk and melted margarine. Knead to combine the roll flat on floured surface.
- Slice dough into 8 squares
- Spoon apple filling in center (and cocoa mixture, if using) and brush edges with a little margarine, fold into triangles
- Place pastry on baking pan
- Bake pastry on 400 F for 25 minutes
- Cool on rack, serve with chocolate apple sauce
Chocolate Sauce
- 1 tbsp of cooked apple
- 1 1/2 tbsp of cocoa mixture
- 1/4 c milk
- 1 tbsp cornstarch
How To
- Mix everything and bring to boil until thickened
Serve pastry with chocolate sauce and a glass of cold milk, super good plus fresh honey dew/melon on the side👍👍👍👍
